NUDE
A laid‑back “ultra‑friendly” café with plenty of plant‑based options. It’s not strictly vegan, but the veggie and smoothie menu is excellent. Nude feels like home and delivers quality brunch (fruity acai bowls, protein burgers, fresh juices) at reasonable prices.
THE SLOW
A contemporary, art-filled space by designer Andra Matin (though our source didn’t describe it, The Slow is well known as a swanky dining spot). Expect Pacific Rim cuisine and creative cocktails in a hip gallery-like setting.

CHOW CHOW
Pan-Asian fusion (Thai, Chinese, Japanese, Malay) with an on‑trend bar. The menu mixes classics (Sushi, stir‑fries) with creative cocktails. Popular for its late-night happy hour “Sushi Monday” deals.
SABABA
A Middle-Eastern gem on Batu Bolong. Warm, colorful decor and a menu of share plates: grilled meats, falafel, hummus, babaganoush and Israeli salads. It’s fun and vibrant. Cocktails are fruity and strong.
THE SHADY SHACK
A leafy vegetarian/vegan café overlooking rice paddies. The décor is boho‑tropical and the menu is 100% plant‑based (banana pancakes, smoothie bowls, wraps). Their raw vegan cheesecake is legendary. It has a relaxed “green oasis” vibe.
I AM VEGAN BABE
A 100% vegan café and juice bar with funky decor. Try the “you won’t believe it’s not bacon” (soy bacon) and the buffalo burger. The space is bright and tropical-chic. Popular for smoothie bowls and raw cakes.
HONEY KITCHEN
A mini health bar with an emphasis on “Instagrammable” salads and grain bowls. The menu is Mediterranean-inspired (think tabbouleh, eggplant dip). Everything is very fresh and colorful. The sweet potato fries here get rave reviews.

WARUNG BU MI
Legendary warung with a daily buffet menu. All-you-can-pile rice plates with satay, stews, and lots of grilled veggies. You only pay for what’s on your plate. It’s open-air and always popular (ask locals – it’s a decade‑old staple). Fresh Indonesian comfort food at rock-bottom prices (~40k IDR per plate).
CASA TUA
Formerly Dandelion, this cozy candlelit warung offers authentic Balinese set menus. You dine on floor mats with blankets, barefoot (shoes off at door). The food is homey and authentic Balinese (tender meats, spicy sambals). Not a buffet – you order off a menu. Excellent service.
ULEKAN
Upscale take on Indonesian classics. A stylish bistro with a tasting menu of top local dishes (satay, rendang, nasi goreng, babi guling). For a splurge try the famous gourmet sambal mixed to order. Great if you want craft versions of traditional food.
BABI GULING MEN LARI
Legendary Babi Guling (suckling pig) stall on the main road out of Canggu. Order traditional plates of crispy pork with rice, plus juicy ribs soup. It’s one of the few places around where you can try Bali’s famous roast pig in a casual setting.
